About Rajishi

Rajishi is an editorial project focused on practical art methods that come from studying the history of making. The work here considers paintings, prints, textiles, and drawings as sources of questions and techniques that can be translated into sketchbook practice, colour study, and compositional exploration.

The approach is intentionally calm and hands on. Instead of treating history as exemplars to copy, we use it as a laboratory of gestures, materials, and strategies. Each article offers clear steps, a checklist to try in the studio, and reflection prompts to record what you notice.

Content is written to be evergreen and accessible. It aims to help beginners and returning makers build habits of observation and translate historical insight into personal practice.
